Jane Donahue

Chief Development Officer

Jane Donahue joined the Fund for Public Schools as the Chief Development Officer in August 2024. In her role, she will oversee all aspects of philanthropic partnership building to support the City’s public school students. Jane’s belief in the power of students and educators has guided her entire career.

 Most recently she was the Senior Director of Individual Giving at Bank Street College of Education. Prior to that, she was the CEO of St. Louis Public Schools Foundation where she worked with District leadership to offer innovations in early childhood education, postsecondary success, and student wellness. Jane also spent nearly a decade as Vice President of Community Investments at Deaconess Foundation, and was the founder and co-chair of St. Louis Graduates – a college success network of funders and practitioners. Jane began her career in New York City working at Henry Street Settlement, Prep for Prep, and the Riverside Church – and she is excited to make her return to support the important work of NYCPS. 

Jane is a graduate of Wesleyan University and completed her master's degree at Harvard’s Divinity School which included coursework at the Graduate School of Education.
