Aksia & MS 582 Chess Partnership
Aksia’s partnership with MS 582 began in 2016, and we worked with the school’s leadership to identify an after-school chess program as an opportunity to further student education. The chess program features nearly 20 students participating in twice weekly club meetings led by a Chess NYC instructor as well as tournaments throughout the school year. We believe that we have laid the groundwork for a long-term partnership with MS 582 and hope to work with the school to expand the chess club while concurrently seeking other areas to support student growth.
